Peace and Federalism

Liberation Tigers had departed from the ‘Federal’ word which they agreed  in Oslo  in 2002 and the United National Party (may be leader)  that spoke on a  “Federal Solution” and also agreed in Oslo made a policy shift  just before the budget reading in November 2007.
Liberation Tigers were never willing to discuss a final solution but instead they talked of Ceasfire and interim administrations.  Thers no politically party advocating a federal system at the moment in Sri Lanka. Some small left parties out of government seems like supporting the concept of “self-determination”.Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and Jathika Hela Urumaya advocates a unitary system of government. Sri Lanka Freedom Party and United National Party do not have a clear cut policy but at the moment they are anti federal but for certain level of devolution.
